Does not work with Android. I tried on a number of Android phones and it simply will not work. I can get it to run on my PC but when trying to install on site, it makes the install more cumbersome. Going to have to find another device with a better written installation software to use with future installs. ***EDIT*** This app appears to install the extender fine if you're an Apple user. Employees have no install issues with IPhone or IPad. Useless with Android. My initial review stands.

Good device but terrible Android app. The device itself works great, and offers decent settings even without the paid HomeShield features. The Android app is where this sucks. Very inconsistent in connecting and blocking or unblocking devices frequently takes more than 2-3 attempts each time. Web interface (desktop site) is definitely much better and reliable but is impractical given that you are carrying your phone all day and may not be within reach of a computer.

Extremely bogus. It doesn't have too many jobs: to notify and help identify the devices joining my home network or manage the VPN settings. It fails at all of them and fails miserably. It's complete garbage and they want me to pay for a paid version? No way. This was the last time I purchased any Tp-Link router, I already ordered a Mikrotik.
